Arsenal’s Joel Campbell is back in training with Real Betis, where he’s currently loaned to. This is coming as his second injury for the season and he will be glad to be back to help his side get back to winning ways.
In a recent interview, Campbell stated that he’s fully fit and back in training and can’t wait to get on the pitch to help his side. His club, Real Betis are also delighted to have their player back as they took to the social media to announce his return to training.
“I’m happy to be back with the others,” He said as quoted by his website.
The Costa Rica said in a recent interview. “I feel good, I want to return to the pitch. Step-by-step as I have always said, the time will come. For now, I continue working to be able to contribute to the team and to our goals.”
Another report in Spain by Marca hinted that although Campbell is not back to full training, he is not fully fit and ready to get into the pitch to start games for the La Liga side yet. He hasn’t taken part in full training yet as he did not finish the practice session on Thursday before leaving the pitch which is a precautionary measure by the club.
It is understandable that Betis are also not willing to rush him back to action as not to make him pick another injury in the process.
Campbell, 25, has had it tough with injuries so far in his career which has leaded him to be loaned out several times by Arsenal. This season alone, this is his second spell on the sideline as he was first out due to knee problem which he had to go under the knife and only return to action in October.
After the return in october, he only played less than a month before another injury sets in. He had a sprained ankle problem which is what he has just recovered from.
It pains when a player of his quality have consistent injury crisis that have kept him out of getting regular playing time at all his clubs which has also affected him in getting a regular club instead of just being loaned out every season.
