Mourinho not surprised with Alexis Sanchez performance on his debut

Premier League giants, Manchester United played in an FA Cup match earlier this week which involve thrashing the League Two side Yeovil Town in a 4-0 defeat.

The FA cup match spot an eventful night for the Manchester United supporters, as it was the debut of their new signing Alexis Sanchez.

The Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho seemed to be impressed with his new recruit performance on his debut day, but claimed it was no surprise to him, as it was expected of the Chilean to play in such level.

The Chilean International, who was involve in the first goal for the Reds but could not claim the assist. Sanchez was all around the pitch in the game, before finally assisting Ander Herrera for United second goal.

The former Arsenal fan-favourite was full of praises, as he started with an impressive stat, as he managed to bag himself a Man of the Match and an Assist.

Mourinho praised the Chilean, who arrived at Old Trafford this January after ending his first Premier League tour with Arsenal three years at the Emirates.

“I’m very happy. No surprise for anyone, three and a half years in the Premier League playing every week and everyone knows what Alexis is,” The Portuguese coach said:

“He’s the kind of player that you buy and you don’t put a question mark in front, you don’t think about adaptation or something like that in relation to English football.

“So no surprise for us, fantastic player, he showed that for three years, he showed that for the past three days he was training with us. He’s an amazing addition for us.

“He needed to play. I was not sure about 90 minutes, I wanted to go for 60, 75 and was good.”

Sanchez has also been praised by teammate, Ander Herrera, who said the Chilean was an amazing player.

Meanwhile, Sanchez will be returning to action, and probably gets his first Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur.
