Chelsea attacker Charly Musonda has move to Celtic and the Transfer was confirmed last night on a 18 month loan deal.
The highly rated Chelsea attacker arrives the club with a big reputation and hopes to finally register a run of first team football under Brendan Rodgers.
Musonda’s physique shows a player keen to stand out, and he has showed this with his choice of shirt number, picking the Jersey No. 67.
Speaking to Celtic’s official website, the skilled Belgium international explained his choice of selecting the jersey number.
“I was well aware that 67 is a special number here and this is why I took this number and now it’s up to me to carry on the legend on the pitch and to enjoy it – hopefully I give the fans what they are looking for.”
The Belgian’s decision puts a little pressure on himself to perform – but the Scottish champions should be very confident that the attacker can live up to his potential.
The former Real Betis star extended loan gives him time to grow into the role he wants and show why he has been tipped for the very top since his mid-teens.
“I have heard so many good things about the stadium and the fans, so it’s going to be unreal to play at Celtic Park.
“I am really excited and I can’t wait for it. “This is a massive club, with 60,000 fans at the games and you don’t get that everywhere.”
