Real Madrid are reportedly planning a huge bid as much as £200million to seal the signing of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard in a record-breaking move.
If the move for the Belgian become fruitful, it would match the current world transfer record set by Neymar when left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, according to Football Weeks.
According to the Daily Mail, the British tabloid clam the Los Blancos are planning a mammoth spending spree of around £500m for this summer, with Blues winger Hazard among their top targets.
Hazard has been one of the best players in Europe since joining Chelsea back in 2012, twice helping the Blues to the Premier League title winning and he has bagged PFA Player of the Year in 2014/15.
There’s no doubt the Belgium international could fit in well at Santiago Bernabeu, particularly with Zinedine Zidane’s side in need of some fresh faces up front after a poor season this term.
Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo has both been misfiring so far this season, while Gareth Bale has had his problems with injuries and could be on his way back to the Premier League.
Spanish outlet Don Balon recently claimed the Welshman was in talks over an exit from Madrid, so there could be much money in bank to spend if Bale leaves the Bernabeu.
Chelsea have done well to hold on to their current stars during the Roman Abramovich era but even they may find that kind of money too hard to turn down.
