The midfielder completed his move from Seria A club Sampdoria to Arsenal this week on a five-year contract believed to be worth around £26 million.
The midfielder, who has featured in Uruguay’s five appearances at the World Cup will be given the No. 11 jersey which has previously been Mesut Ozil’s shirt number.

Torreira and Ozil are expected to join Arsenal’s pre-season training camp later this month and are set to join the Gunners on their tour or Asia.
