Reports from the Scotsman is claiming Scottish champions Celtic are interested in signing Hamburg and Germany’s u-17 international Jann-Fiete Arp, who is understood to be keen on the move to Glasgow.
The young striker made 18 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, netting two goals for the German side that were unfortunately relegated, finishing in 17th place.
It is interesting that although the young striker was not a regular start, he statistically performed a lot more better when he was in the team, averaging more goals and more points gained with the young German playing.
Aside Arp, the Bhoys do have other reported striker targets, in the likes of former on-loan striker Odsonne Edouard, who Celtic are closing on agreeing a £5 million pound deal with Paris Saint-Germain for.
Brendan Rodgers is looking to improve the team and give the club the best possible chance of winning eight consecutive SPFL titles, which will be yet an unbelievable achievement in any league.
Arp would be a welcome signing and add fierce competition to the Celtic’s forward line should he join the team this summer.
