According to Sportsmail, Scottish champions Celtic are closing in on a permanent deal for their on-loan Paris Saint-Germain striker Odsonne Edouard.
The young French striker could become the Hoops first summer signing for a fee of just £5 million plus add-ons, Football News understands.
Senior insider at Parkhead has reveals talks with PSG are ongoing, with a deadline of June 16 having been set to take up the option of a long-term deal.
However, it’s believed that Celtic are increasingly confident the 20-year-old Frenchman Edouard will be their first capture of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, club chiefs have also budgeted for a £5million upgrade of Celtic Park, with work due to start on a new hybrid pitch, new roofing for the south stand, the PA system and new floodlights on all four stands.
The club are also pressing ahead with proposals for a full-size indoor pitch and have put plans for a hotel out to tender.
