21 goals & 11 assists: Liverpool beats Manchester United in the Race to sign European winger

English giants Liverpool have been reported to be preparing to table an official offer for Lille star Nicolas Pepe, who had an impressive season in the Ligue 1 this campaign.

The Ivorian, who can also be deployed as a striker, has been identified by Manchester United as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku who has been linked to the Serie A, according to Daily Express.

Liverpool, on the other hand, sees him as a possible step up for forward Roberto Firmino, who has been lacking goals this season. With the Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp set to experiment a tactics with four man in the attack.
