£300,000-a-week on cards: Man United set to complete transfer of 28-year-old

Spain international and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Sea looks set to sign a mouth-watering deal with Paris Saint-Germain that will make him the highest paid goalkeeper in the world.

Report as per the Daily Mail claimed that an agreement between the player and the Ligue 1 champions is close to being finalized with the goalkeeper looking to move on and find greener pasture.

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper has been his current side saving grace in recent years but his time in the Premier League and saving Man United’s ass could now be up if this latest story bears fruit.

The story is suggesting that PSG are looking to sell Neymar to Real Madrid next summer in avid to work around financial fair play restrictions and in the process build their team around Kylian Mbappe and the incoming De Gea.

De Gea will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a club from January 1st and the suggestion is that the 28-year-old will be earning in the region of £300,000 in Paris.

The Ligue 1 team have struggled to find a consistent performer with the gloves in recent years and will no doubt see De Gea as a crucial part of the plan in their never ending bid to finally win the Champions League.

The news couldn’t have come at a worse time for Man United fans following another dismal display at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday which saw the red half of Manchester fall 14 points behind their City rivals who currently sit top of the table.

Losing a key player like De Gea is a monumental blow for United but with his contract running out, they are powerless to prevent the deal being confirmed.
