As Independent reports, Premier League club Arsenal are reportedly considering move for Portugal international Andre Gomes this summer.
The Gunners, who have completed three deals this summer in Stephan Lichtsteiner (Juventus) and Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Borussia Dortmund), as well as goalkeeper Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen) so far this summer, have been linked with a £30m move for the La Liga midfielder ahead of the upcoming 2018/19 last season.
Gomes, has registered 29 international caps for Portugal, provided just one assist and failed to net a goal in 31 appearances across all competitions for the La Liga players last season.
Gomes, who was not in Portugal’s plans for the 2018 FIFA World Cup team for this summer’s finals in Russia, only joined Barcelona back in July 2016 following his transfer from Valencia, and he has scored three goals in 78 games overall for the Spanish side.
The report adds that the Gunners head-coach Unai Emery wants to lure Gomes to Arsenal, with the Catalan giants looking to bag for his sale. He is current contracted with Barca until June 2021.
