4-2-3-1: Fred and Willian To Start – Mourinho’s Likely Lineup for Leicester City Clash

The performances from top targets, players from different club representing their country at the World Cup has left many wondering about how the Premier League upcoming season will be. The summer is a period that is always filled with transfer rumours but instead of this, it has been replaced by a feast of football in Russia.

However, the interesting thing in this is that, when the tournament ends in Russia, it leaves so little time between the final and the new season.

So the football addicts among us don’t have to feel too sharp a yearning for the beautiful game because the greatest show on earth finishes just three weeks before the Premier League kicks off again.

With the reigning EPL champions Manchester City travelling to the Emirates to face Arsenal on the opening day, Manchester United are given a nice start at past champions Leicester City and a chance for the Red Devils to begin their season with three good points.

So, the questions remains, with news signings at Old Trafford and other yet to be announced, how will Manchester United line up for the opening match against Foxes next season?

Every Manchester United fans would love to see the club signing Real Madrid Champions League hero Gareth Bale join the cub this summer but this does not seem going to happen this summer, especially with the fact the Los Blancos will have a new manager.

However, another possible signing would appear to be Willian, who have only registered 20 Premier League games for Chelsea this past season and has been quoted in the past as showing great love for Man United boss, Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian is quoted as saying:

“He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person.

“He has put his trust in me and in my work, and I was very grateful to him.

“Manchester came to me, they talked with my agent, but nothing happened, because Chelsea would not negotiate me in any way and I’m very happy at Chelsea.”

With the signing of Fred, Diogo Dalot and Willian, we would surely come closer to our arch-rivals City come the end of the next season.

So below is how the Red Devils could line in a 4-3-3 formation if they stick with what they have in central defence but there would be need for one more signing at the top.
