Lucas Torreira became Arsenal fourth signing of the summer under Unai Emery’s reign at the club, sealing a £26.5 million switch.
The Uruguay international midfielder follows the likes of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis to Arsenal this summer.
This has been one of the busiest summer for Arsenal, so far, despite the ongoing World Cup, with the majority of their transfer business well completed ahead of their crunch Premier League clash against last season champions Manchester City at the Emirates.
This fixtures is a really a tough start for a manager who has no experience in the Premier League, but with the work he has done so far this window, we would hope the Gunners will be well prepared to enter into such a difficult first two weeks of the season.
That being said, the question in every one mind is, what cold Arsenal’s starting XI be like for that first game against Manchester City, given the business that has been done since the end of last season?
Here’s how the Gunners might line up – using Emery’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
