Chelsea winger, Willian has been speaking to the press in Brazil on the international break about his Selecao teammate Richarlison.
The Blues were linked with the attacker two summers ago, but when he did eventually make a Premier League move, it was to Watford, where had a brilliant start to the new season.
Willian, a former Fluminense attacker then went to Everton this summer, and has since been netting goals for his side. His brilliant performance has also earned him a callup to the Brazil team and he netted two goals on his debut.
Chelsea winger is really fond of his compatriot and had the following to say, as quoted via the Daily Star:
“Richarlison is doing very well with Everton.
“He is one of the greatest surprises of the Premier League at the beginning of the season.
“Scoring goals, being a key player for his club. And in his first call up with Seleção he scored twice and did a great job.
“He has a lot of quality, knows how to score goals and has a lot of potential to help the Seleção.”
Given the Blues were formerly linked with the player, it will be no surprise rumors linking him with a potential move to Chelsea takes another twist this coming months.
But the question is how much he will cost if he were to join Chelsea given the significant amount the Toffees paid (£40m) last summer.
Richarlison at Everton, has been playing as a striker recently, and he could grow to be a world-class under Maurizio Sarri. However, whether Chelsea will be willing to pay the reported £60m fee the Brazilian his currently worth.
