Brazilian and AS Roma’s Alisson Becker has been a trending speculations this summer. The goalkeeper is eyeing a move away from Roma this summer, with his future expected to be decided once the World Cup is over this month.
The goalkeeper is Brazil’s No. 1 between the sticks and has played in all of the Seleção’s group games so far in the tournament.
Although, Liverpool were thought to be leading the race to sign the 1.93 m (6ft4in) goalkeeper this summer, but then Champions League winners Real Madrid stepped in and it the Los Blancos would hijack the Reds’ move to sign the goalkeeper this summer.
However, his future still remains un-resolved despite the two clubs interested in him and that means Chelsea are still eyeing a move him this summer.
Chelsea, however, will need to resolve their managerial situation first this summer, with Antonio Conte still regarded as the Blues manager for the time being. The Italian gaffer is waiting to find out whether he is going to be sacked and replaced by the Blues’ long-term target Maurizio Sarri.
That being said, reports today have suggested that the 2016/17 Premier League winners are close to finalizing £62million signing of Brazilian goalkeeper and the bookmakers have priced Chelsea as clear favourites to secure his signing once the World Cup is over.
Alisson is priced 1/4 to leave the Serie A club this summer, with Chelsea priced at 6/5 favourites to sign him this summer. Real Madrid and Liverpool are priced are 2/1 and 8/1 respectively.
While this holds not concrete evidence of the goalkeeper making the move to Stamford Bridge this summer, it should be noted that the Blues are no shy when it comes breaking the bank for signings and won’t come as a surprise if an offer of £62million approved for the signing of Alisson this summer.
