Spanish and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is believed to have agreed a fresh five-year contract with Manchester United. The 27-year-old, who has been on Real Madrid books since 2015 appears to have put an end to the speculation about joining the Los Blancos this summer.
As M.E.N reports, it’s claimed the Spaniard has agreed a fresh contract “five-year” contract extension with the Red Devils that would see him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2023. Although, an announcement regarding this contract offer has yet to be made official by the club but this should be done once he returns from the summer World Cup in Russia comes to end.
De Gea has gone from strength to strength with Man United over the past few years and this has seen him being named as the club’s Player of the Year three times more than any other player since 2011. Aside this fact, De Gea has in many matches single-handedly won United games with series of brilliant performances between the sticks.
It was reported that the goalkeeper, who stands at 1.92 m (6 ft 4 in), could seek a move to Real Madrid which may see us move in for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who’s linked with a move to Arsenal.
