According to reports, Chelsea are plotting move for Juventus star Miralem Pjanic this summer. The Premier League cub are set for a busy summer like never before with speculations linking Antonio Conte with an exit this summer. Pjanic, as per reports, could be on the verge of joining Chelsea this summer and could be in London for his medicals. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is considered one of the best midfielders in Serie A, but Juventus are looking to sell him in order to raise funds for other transfers this summer.
However, Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport claim Catalan champions Barcelona had been lurking over the player’s shadows, but will face keen competition from Chelsea in signing him this summer. Pjanic as per the Metro, is valued at £70million and Barca are said to be lininig him up as a replace for ageing Andres Iniesta.
But Chelsea are considering his signing this summer as a competition for Cesc Fabregas and eventually replaces the 31-year-old. The Spaniard has been an integral part of the Blues’ squad in recent seasons.
In Fabregas’ 36 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season, 25 of his appearances were starts of which the majority of it were not impressive.
