Celtic could be on the verge of losing one of their best players in the final day of the window, despite wanting to keep hold of their players.
As reported by L’Equipe, Celtic are thought to have held talks with French outlet Olympique Lyonnais about a possible transfer for Moussa Dembele.
Lyon are believed to be interested in signing Dembele as they prepare to find a replacement for Mariano Diaz who could end up joining Real Madrid this week.
Although, Celtic are keen on keeping their talented forward at Celtic Park this summer, especially given that the transfer window will be shut in a couple of days.
The report went further suggesting that the Hoops would have been open to letting Dembele, who is rated at £6.3million, face the exit door a couple of weeks ago for a fee believed to be in the region of €15m and €20m.
However, with the window finally getting shut on Friday, it now appears that Celtic have no intention of selling Dembele and will do everything in their power to tie down at the club.
Dembele, who has been a key player for the Bhoys since he arrived from Fulham in the summer of 2016, leaving at this stage would be a huge blow for Celtic.
Despite having likes of Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths, the Hoops will need to keep the 22-year-old ace if they are to compete for the Scottish Premiership title once again.
