This made him the youngest-ever player to represent Newcastle in Europe. His first senior goal came in a friendly 2-0 victory over Juventus.

Carroll was sent on a six-month loan to Preston North End, where he received the first red card of his career. Following Newcastle United’s relegation to the Championship in 2009, Andy Carroll stepped up for the club to help them win the Championship title and gain promotion back to the Premier League the following season with 19 goals scored in all competitions. This was when Andy Carroll’s net worth started seeing an impressive rise. He spent a total of four and a half seasons with Newcastle before moving to Liverpool.

But he only managed to score one goal in 43 appearances for the Magpies. He left the club in 2021 to join Reading in the Championship, and he still plays for them at the time of this writing.
