Arsenal appear to have secured another signing of the summer to add to the arrival of Lucas Torreira and announcement is said to be made in the “coming days”.
The Gunners head-coach has done really well so far this summer window having secured the signing of Juventus’ Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer, while the likes of Sokratis and Torreira is expected to complete their move to Arsenal as well.
However, it appears the former Paris Saint-Germain boss will not end his summer business with just three signings as he’s said to be considering someone who can compete between the sticks with ageing Petr Cech next season.
In light of this, reports have claimed the North London club are leading in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno this summer.
The move for Leno would be to come in and provide solution to the Gunners’ worrying goalkeeping situation which conceded most goals out of all the top six teams in the Premier League last season.
The Germany international’s transfer to the Emirates will cost Arsenal a fee in the region of £21.8million after an agreement was reached with Leverkusen.
