With no news on how Boyata got on today with his team-mates at Celtic Park, Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has said that the Belgium defender will have to apologies to the club’s staff and players after he missed last week’s vital Champions League match against AEK Athens.
However, trending reports has claimed Celtic target Jason Denayer has now officially joined Olympique Lyonnais on loan. The news broke out on Friday night that the Ligue 1 giants had beaten Celtic to the signing of the Manchester City ace.
Denayer now has completed his medicals with Lyon and have agreed to personal terms with all left is an announcement between parties involved.
Denayer’s move to Lyon would be Celtic missing out on three different occasions to re-sign the Belgium international who won the Young Player of the Year in his season at the Scottish Champions.
Elsewhere, Elgin City’s new goalie Thomas McHale has showed a strong interest in playing for Celtic having revealed that he dreams of playing for the club one day and has refused to rule out a move to Parkhead in the future.
McHale, who joined Elgin City, from non-league side Truro earlier this month, have straight away set his sights on one day playing for Celtic.
