Premier League giant Arsenal have been reported to have joined in on the race to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in the Summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old attacker, who has added 28 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season, has been tagged by Arsenal to be the best replacement for Aaron Ramsey who is bound to join Juventus at the end of the season.
Reports coming O Jogo claims that the Portuguese club are under tremendous pressure to sell, with the player all set to leave the club this summer. The club is looking a suitor who would be offering €35m – which is the players buy out clause in his last contract – which Arsenal should be able to match.
Fernandes who could have departed from the Portuguese club last year for free decided to stay another season and sign a contract with the release clause of €98 million.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been reported to have sparked interest from European giants like Atletico Madrid, Milan, Juventus, Manchester United and Chelsea.
