Goal.com via the Daily Mirror is reporting Arsenal are ready to enter transfer battle with Liverpool over the signing of Kenedy if the winger decides to leave Chelsea this summer.
The Brazilian who plays as a winger or as a left-back for Newcastle United, on loan from fellow Premier League club Chelsea joined the Blues from Fluminense in 2015 but struggled to make his way down to Antonio Conte’s first-team fold and was forced to leave the club on loan in order to get regular first-team football.
Kenedy, however, rediscovered some of his brilliant form during the second-half of the last season after he joined Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United on a short-term deal in January and it’s reported the Magpies are hopeful of making his stay a permanent.
However, Kenedy is yet to make a decision over his future as the winger has been attracting keen interest from some of Europe’s top clubs with British tabloids reporting Liverpool are hoping to sign the winger to Anfield as well.
With the Reds marked the Premier League and FA Cup winner as their target, they’re bound to face keen competition from Arsenal as the Mirror via Goal.com claims the Gunners are among a host of clubs hopeful of signing the Brazilian this summer.
Arsenal, who have announced former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery as their head-coach last week are looking to revamp their entire squad to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The duo however, will then face competition aboard as Goal claimed Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and RB Leipzig are also in the hunt to sign Kenedy who could remain at Stamford Bridge if Antonio Conte eventually leaves the club.
