According to a report published by TeamTalk, Premier League club Arsenal FC are set to announce £52m double signing to sign Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira and Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi next week.
The midfield area has been a major concerned for the club since the injury to Santi Cazorla and while the Spaniard and Jack Wilshere have left the club, it’s believed Emery is working on bringing two new faces to the Gunners’ midfield this season.
Torreira has been touted to join the North London club this summer and TeamTalk in one of their report, claimed a deal worth £26m has been agreed with the Italian club over his signing following Uruguay’s elimination from the World Cup.
The midfielder confirmed yesterday that he turned down the chance to undergo his medical in Russia as he didn’t want his attention from the World Cup to be carried away whilst also confirming he was on the verge of the joining Arsenal.
Torreira is said to have arrive London on Sunday morning to finally undergo his medicals with the club but report is saying the deal is set to be completed early next week. The South American midfielder will become the Gunners fourth signing of the summer.
As it stands, it appears Arsenal are going to make their signings five this summer as it’s believed Arsenal are in advanced talks with Sevilla over a £26m deal for N’Zonzi.
N’Zonzi has been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks and reports says the La Liga club will stand in his way to join Arsenal as soon as they complete move for OGC Nice midfielder Jean-Michel Serie as his replacement this summer.
