Arsenal set to launch bid for European star ahead of summer

In the bids of making their team stronger for next season, Arsenal are said to be keen on a move to sign Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico, according to reports emerging from British Media.

With the Daily Mail also reporting that the Ginners are more than ready to battle with European giants Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid for the signature of the defender this coming summer.

Having seen many flaws in his team both in the frontline and the defensive areas, Unai Emery is keen to strengthen up his team for the coming season and has picked out the Ajax left-back as a potential target.

The report further claims that the two Spanish giants are both keeping a close eye on tge performance of the £8m rated defender ahead of the of the summer transfer window.

The reports states clear that the defender want to conitnue his footballing career in the Spanish league formerly expressing his desire to play in the La Liga, which could make things complicated for the Gunners to sign with both Madrid clubs already breathing down Ajax’s neck.

The 26-year-old defender has so far this season found the back of the net once and provided three assist in 18 Eredivisible appearances for his Dutch club.

Arsenal will be focusing more on their run of the Europa League as they will be keen to overturn a 3-1 defeat in their first leg against French side Rennes on Thursday night to progress through to the quarter-finals of the European campaign.

Thanks to a commanding 2-0 victory against Manchester United on Sunday, Arsenal are now back in the top four race as they currently sit at the four position with one point away from third sitters Tottenham Hotspur.
