According to reports emerging from Spanish outlet, Premier League giants, Arsenal, have tabled an official bid to Real Madrid for their prolific winger Lucas Vazquez, who is also being targeted by Italian club AS Roma and German club Bayer Leverkusen.
Vazquez’s future with the Los Blancos has been thrown in doubt since the arrival of Brazilian players Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, who are quickly establishing themselves in Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven.
The North London might just be the best destination for the Spain international, should he become keen to leave the club, to give more competition to Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and their upcoming youngsters like Gabriel Martinelli, Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka.
The 28-year-old has been a key player for the club since his return to the club in 2015, he was instrumental in the club’s 2016 Champions League victory. But has failed to secure a permanent spot in the Los Blancos’ team.
And according to report from El Desmarque, in which Goal claimed that Arsenal has tabled an official bid to Real Madrid for their attacker Vazquez ahead of a potential move in January.
But the English club is in for a competition, with the report claiming that Bayer Leverkusen is currently leading the race to sign the Spanish player due to their willingness to match Real Madrid €20 million price tag and his wages. Vazquez has been able to register 22 goals and provided 44 assists for the Spanish club in 191 appearances in all competitions.
