Chelsea star Eden Hazard is reportedly on the verge on sealing a new contract with La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.
The Belgium international has severally been linked with Real Madrid on numerous occasions throughout, and with his future still up in the air, this summer could be end of his stay with chelsea.
Hazard has already spoken about his desire to leave Chelsea earlier this summer, he said:
“Real Madrid could interest me, everyone knows it, if they want me they know what they have to do.
“If I have a good World Cup, things will be easier, but going to Madrid for the sake of it, no.
“Saying ‘I’m off’ would be too easy, that’s why first I want to see what happens to Chelsea next season.”
And now it has been revealed by Marca that Hazard was offered to Real days before the Champions League final, when Zinedine Zidane guided Los Blancos to a third successive European Cup with a 3-1 defeat of Liverpool.
It’s reported that his father and agent, Thierry, has made contact with Real officials over Hazard “joining Madrid this summer.”
Hazard has been touted as the club’s future signing, and even though former Real’s boss Zinedine Zidine is no longer at the club, the Los Blancos still remain interested in winger as an alternative to Paris Saint-Germain Neymar.
In such a scenario, Hazard is rejected the Blues’ latest contract offer, believed to be in the region of £340,000-a-week, so as to join Real Madrid this summer.
Hazard’s stance of rejecting the Blues new offer could be said that he wants to compete in the Champions League with Chelsea failing to qualify for next seasons’s edition of the Europe’s premier competition.
