Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head-to-head with London rivals Chelsea having launched a £15 million bid for Aston Villa Jack Grealish.
Given the Championship’s club failure to secure promotion back to the Premier League, coupled with their subsequent financial issues, it has been widely speculated Grealish will be facing the exit door this summer.
However, Villa have apparently slapped a £40 million asking price on the 22-year-old, so Spurs’ offer way short of that valuation.

Although, there has been no word from Aston Villa whether the offer by Mauricio Pochettino’s side has been accepted or not, but it seems likely their bid will be rejected and might accept the one which comes to their valuation for the midfielder.
There are reports of other clubs interested in his services so there shouldn’t be any need for Villa aceepting Spurs’ offer, but given their reported financial issues, things could go south with Villa.
Chelsea were said to have offered the Championship club a £30 million offer and with an option for them to loan the player back for another season, which yet raises more questions about Tottenham’s bid for Grealish.
