According to reports, Chelsea have reportedly begin talks to sign Inter Milan midfielder Mattias Vecino this summer as they seek to beef up their midfield.
Although, the Blues central part of the midfield seems well stocked at the moment, but their new head-coach Maurizio Sarri is looking to bring in at least more midfielder as he attacks next season’s objectives very aggressively.
As reported by Sky Sports, it’s reported Inter Milan are holding out for around £32 million for Chelsea’s new target and are not bringing down their demands, and Chelsea have now entered into negotiations with the Serie A giants.
The midfielder was one of superb Uruguay players at the World Cup, winning a starting role in every games for the South America country under Oscar Tabarez and shows glimpses of having the ability to complete long passes, and also possessing a good shot from range as espoused by Italian journalist Matteo Bonetti on Twitter.
Maurizio Sarri is well aware of Vecino’s abilities as the two have previously worked together at Empoli before the Italian gaffer took over the managerial job at Napoli.
If Vecino joins Chelsea this summer, the midfielder will become the Premier League club’s third signing of the summer after completing move for Jorginho and Robert Green.
