Celtic haven’t really gotten of to the best of starts this season as the Hoops were knocked out of the Champions League and are suffering a setback in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic were all guns blazing last season, but this season could all depend on how much business Brendan Rodgers completes this final week of the transfer window. Celtic appears ready to spend some money, as the Mail Online reports the Hoops are ready to for Scott McKenna.
It’s believed that the Scottish champions are ready to return for the Aberdeen defender despite seeing their first £3.5 million bid rejected this week
Another interesting part of this is that McKenna is not the only player that Celtic will try signing before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, as Brendan Rodgers said:
“Let’s wait and see.
“Time will tell. I think there’s a lot of work going on. It’s clear that we need. But we’ll see.”
Celtic are desperately in need of a central defender having seen some of their recent performances, and the Aberdeen player might be just what they need this summer.
Indeed, the Hoops has failed to find the perfect replacement for Virgil Van Dijk since he left the club a while back, but Scottish youngster McKenna could hold all the answers as he has already displayed his qualities in the Scottish Premiership at Aberdeen.
