BBC Sportsound pundit has aim a dig at Celtic attacker Ryan Christie for riving against Rangers on Sunday.
The 23-year-old was brought in the second-half, and was involved in a moment controversy when he wnet down on the edge of the away side’s penalty box after having a short contact with Rangers defender Connor Goldson, who was booked by referee Willie Collum.
McManus wasn’t that pleased with Christie diving act, and also claimed that Collum was in the wrong to award Celtic a free-kick after the Scotland international’s simulation.
McManus on his personal Twitter account on Sunday, said:
“Shocking dive from Christie. Collum having one.”
It was definitely a dive by Christie. He had his arm out by Goldson, but he barely touched Christie and the Hoops attacker flung himself into the Rangers penalty area in a bid just to win a penalty. For this, the referee was completely wrong to book the Gers centre-back as he should have booked Christie.
