Arsenal could consider the sale Wales international Aaron Ramsey this summer, should the club fail to find the breakthrough in his contract negotiations.
Ramsey is left with just 13 months on his existing deal at the Emirates Stadium. But according to The Sun, the Gunners are weighing up his future as the player’s yet to commit himself to a new contract.
His current deal expire at the end of the 2018/19 season but he remains in a contract standoff with Arsenal yet to meet his wage demands.
The player, who had once been linked with Barcelona is presently on a £110,000-a-week salary at Arsenal and he is supposedly looking for an increase on his wages after seeing the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earn handsome deals following their January arrivals.
Should Arsenal fail to meet Ramsey’s demands, he is expected to extend his contract standoff, and this may see the Welshman face the exit door at the Emirates, should any of his suitors match his reported £40m price tag.
The player has been hugely influential towards Arsenal’ progress in recent seasons and he has scored the winning goal in two of Arsenal’s previous three triumphs in the FA Cup finals.
