The uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea and who player the club will be signing this summer keeps making momentum.
Although, Conte is still regarded as Chelsea manager, but his future at the club’s not clear, with reports claiming former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is being lined up as the Italian manager.
However, it’s believed another man is over the board to join Chelsea is Atletico Madrid’s Stefan Savic. The Serbian will be known by fans of the Premier League for a poor run with Manchester City.
Savic was signed by former City boss Roberto Mancini in 2011, but only managed just 11 appearances for Man City before leaving to sign for Fiorentina.
He left City to join Fiorentina on a three-year deal, before getting shipped out of the club in 2015 for a reported 10 million euros.
Savic’s performances for the La Liga club have not gone unnoticed. The Serbian registered 37 appearances across all competitions as Atletico finished as runners-up to Barcelona in La Liga ahead of Real Madrid.
And Chelsea, according to Sky Italia, claimed the Blues are in the hunt to sign Savic alongside Serie A club Juventus to sign the 27-year-old this summer.
Savic could now become Sarri’s first signing of the summer if the former Napoli boss do join Chelsea as Conte replacement.
