World Cup winner Antoine Greizmann has been linked with a big-money move to Barcelona and in a moment of glitch on Wednesday, Arsenal suporters thought their striker Alexandre Lacazette is on the same page with his compatriots.
Atletico Madrid’s forward Greizmann has announced he will be leaving the club this season, while Lacazette links to the Catalan giants was said to be nothing more than an internet glitch.
The Gunners centre forward’s name appeared on the official website of the Catalan giants along with several others prompting Arsenal supporters to rage on Twitter.
“Why’s Lacazette on the Barcelona website?” tweeted user @ClassyArsenal.
As soon as that happened, confusions was going on every supporters’s mind as Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba was also spotted on the list.
The confusion, however, seem to grow more as the North London club legend David Seaman, who is 55 years of age, and Arsene Wenger sidekick Steve Bould were also listed on the website.
The bewilderment of the Gunners fans was soon calmed by some Twitter user, who claimed that Barcelona’s official website always generate a profile for every footballer that played against the Catalonians. Former Swansea player Bafetimbi Gomis, who now plays for Al-Hilal, has a profile with the club.
