With the opening of the summer transfer window drawing closer, Arsenal are now willing to reignite their interest in Torreira’s former teammate and Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet this summer.
The 25-year-old midfielder was formerly identified by Arsenal long term mananger Arsene Wenger, who was said to be impressed by the player, right after his performance against the Gunners in the Champions League back in 2014.
Praet, who joined the Serie a club back ing 2016, have since then improved in performance for the club having formerly formed an impressive duo with Lucas Torreira, who later joined his linked club Arsenal right after the 2018 World Cup held in Russia last summer.
Report from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claimed that the Gunners boss Unai Emery’s transfer budget will only be able to spend largely if his team is able to secure a Champions League spot next season.
The report further claims that Sampdoria has slapped an asking price of €20million on the Belgian midfielder on any potential transfer in the summer.
