Krystian Bielik has succumbed to a shoulder injury while training with his Charlton teammates, which leads him to request to be removed from squad team to face Scunthorpe.
The Arsenal loanee performance for this season has been one to watch out for but his number of appearances has been quite disturbing following his number of injuries this campaign.
Since joining the club last summer from Arsenal, the player has featured in every League game to mid-February proving fitness not to be problem for him except for the minor injuries he gets sidelined for. In the past two months, loanee is yet to play more than two games consecutively having always missed the next match to an injury.
The Poland U21 recently acquired a shoulder injury, with the Charlton head coach Lee Bowyer confirming the defender to have “fell a bit funny” while training. Which put the Polish defender in lot of pain to have him checked out by the doctors.
Bowyer said: “He came to see me and said ‘I’d rather not play. I want to play but I don’t want to risk it.’ He dislocated his other shoulder last season and he said ‘I’d rather not.’ It made sense to me. So, we had to adjust it (the team) at quarter past one.”
The Arsenal loanee has helped Charlton Athletic to a fifth position which will automatically send the club to a playoff should they remain in the position with two games left.
