Breaking: Frank Lampard to leave out Key player for Newcastle clash on Saturday

According to reports emerging in the English media, Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, might be just resting N’Golo Kante for the Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Premier League is set to go back into action following the international break. But Chelsea fans might just have to wait till Wednesday to see Kante back in action for the Champions League clash against Dutch giants Ajax.

Report coming from Evening Standard claimed that the World Cup winner is ready and fit for a game, but the Blues boss is not willing to risk his full fitness against the Magpies as he hopes to secure a top spot finish in the Champions League group stage, which will give Kante much time to recover.

After claiming a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in their last game week, Newcastle will be coming to Stamford Bridge to fight for all three points, which is where Lampard will have to rely on his available players to claim all three points in the match without the World Cup winner.

Chelsea has other injury worries like Andreas Christensen, who is yet to return from the sidelines. But the good news is, Mateo Kovacic and Emerson Palmieri have now started their full training but are still doubts on if they could be played during the weekend.

The Blues, who were predicted to have the poorest campaign of the League’s top six, have started putting up an impressive performance and are currently placed at the fifth position on the table despite their poor start when they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in the season opener.
