Breaking: Liverpool vice-captain REVEALS how they will deal with Newcastle on Saturday

James Milner has reassured the Fans that their 3-0 defeat to La Liga giants Barcelona will not alter their Premier League title race.

The Englan international is confident that his team will be coming out in full force in their Saturday League match against Newcastle United at the St James’ Park as they continue their race for the title.

The Merseysiders’ club are currently trailing behind leaders Manchester City with just one point, and will be taking their chance to go back to the top of the League in the weekend match.

While Pep Guardiola’s team, who are not playing in the weekend, will be prepared to face Leicester City on Monday night.

The Reds midfielder has dispelled all talks claiming that their defeat at the Camp Nou will be affecting their performance in the League this campaign.

“We have to bounce back quickly from this with a big game at the weekend,” Milner said.

“I think we are used to playing games in quick succession and we’ve seen the character in this squad on more than one occasion over the last few years.

“We all know the character that is there, we need to be together and bounce back from that. I have no doubt that this team will do that.”
