Liverpool loanee Allan Rodrigues de Souza has undergone an urgent surgery to repair a shoulder injury, according to Goal.com.
The young Brazilian will return to Liverpool with his loan at Apollon Limassol cut short as he is now expected to miss four months of action for his side.
He has had several shoulder dislocations so far this season, and the Merseyside were keen to get him operated on so he would be fit in time for pre-season.
He has registered over 16 appearances for his loan side, and played when the Cypriot team dumped Everton out of the Europa League.
de Souza will still not qualify for a work permit in the United Kingdown, however, so will be ship out on loan again next season to a place where he is able to play.
He joined Liverpool in 2015 from Internacional for a reported fee of over £500,000. The Brazilian has never qualified for a work permit since then, so has been sent out on loan to the likes of Finnish team SJK, Sint-Truiden of Belgium and Hertha Berlin.
Liverpool apparently think he has a bright future but until he qualifies for a work permit in the UK, he’ll continue to be loaned out.
