Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that his team Manchester United will be attacking quickly and swiftly next season.
The manager is said to be planning on a summer overhaul for his team ahead of the summer transfer window as they are currently being linked with several European players already.
The start of the 2018/19 campaign saw the Red Devils put up a poor performannce under the reign of Jose Mourinho, who was sacked by the club in December.
The appointment of Norwegian manager Solskjaer seemed to revived the team for a while but returned to their poor form as they lost eight matches on their last 11 games in all competitions this season.
The run of poor form has seen them miss out a spot in the Champions League as they are currently placed in the sixth position.
Speaking about the style his team will be playing next season, Solskjaer said: “What’s the best style? At Man United, it’s to attack quickly.
“It’s playing forward, running forward, chasing back, winning the ball back. I’d love and like to get to a set system, but it hasn’t worked that way.
“You see the teams that get two or three years together. They know each other. The relationships between the right side, left side, the centre-backs.
“As a football manager or coach, you know that the more time you get to work on relations, the better it will be, because then you’re a step ahead all the time instead of, at the moment, we’ve been reacting too much to the opposition and we want to get to a shape both on and off the ball that we’re comfortable with.”
