Celtic will be keen on strengthening the core of their team this summer as they look to retain their dominance in Scottish football, especially since Steven Gerrard took over the reins of Old Firm rivals Rangers FC.
Brendan Rodgers, could however, face strong battle in keeping some of his star players of last season and he will be keen on doing whatever it takes to keep them. According to a report by Foot Mercato, it claimed Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Moussa Dembele and are believed to have made several approaches for the player in recent days.
Dembele, who is valued at £5.4 million by Transfermarkt has attracted huge interest from top European clubs over the last couple of transfer windows and has severally be linked with a possible move away from Celtic in the near future.
This will be a bad news for Celtic fans and they will be wanting the club to do all they can to keep the Frenchman at the team and will be expecting the club to reject any offers made for him.
Although, Celtic have already signed Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal, the Scottish champions will want to keep Dembele at the club so as to create a lethal partnership upfront, with the option of Leigh Griffiths also available to Rodgers.
