Celtic FC made it to the Betfred Cup final on Sunday afternoon after seeing off Hearts at Murrayfield, and the two players that received Hoops’ fans much appraisals was Scott Sinclair and Ryan Christie.
Celtic were under strong pressure going into the last-four standing at Murrayfield, but Brendan Rodgers’ men responded and handled this clash with experience as they mauled Hearts 3-0.
Both Ryan Christie and Sinclair came off the bench, but the two players showed a strong performance which made a huge impact on the game today, with Christie winning a penalty for Sinclair to score on 53 minutes.
And few minutes after that, Christie’s shot was punched by Hearts goalkeeper Bobby Zlamal, and looked like it had crossed the line before James Forrest finished it off.
But there was no doubt about the third goal with Christie smashing home an absolute belter of a goal from long-range.
Both players have taken a fair deal of stick, so it’s fitting their taking home some praise today:
Christie and Sinclair have added much needed impetus to this Celtic team

Callum McGregor was the star man, Rogic was terrific too. Sinclair and Christie were both excellent, when they came on, too.
