Celtic fans slam £3m star after woeful displays v Partick [Tweets]

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to slam Scott Sinclair once again after the Englishman performance in Celtic’s Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle on last Saturday, with many feeling that the forward is not same Bhoys player who lit up Parkhead last season.

The ex-Chelsea star was simply sensational during his first season with Celtic. According to The Guardian, Sinclair joined the Glasgow club for a reported £3 million. Ever since his move to the Parkhead, Sinclair has scored 25 goals in 50 appearances across all competition, playing a crucial role for the club in their treble-winning season and winning a raft of individual awards in the Scottish Premiership.

Sinclair has bagged 17-goal this season to top Celtic’s scoring charts. Nevertheless, the 28-year-old’s form has been called into question – especially after Celtic stumbled into the next round of the cup against their top flight rivals.

James Forrest scored hat-trick, but the opposition side certainly gave Celtic a fright, finding the net six minutes from time to make the score 3-2 against Brendan Rodger’s men.

A number of Bhoys players were also criticized on social media after the game, and Sinclair was one of the players whose performance was slammed by the fans.

Many felt that the attacker has let his standards drop, and almost looks disinterested compared to last season. Some even suggested that the Englishman was Celtic’s biggest disappointment this term.

Here is what the Celtic fans made of Sinclair’s display in the cup win…
