Report on Sunday claimed Bundesliga duo Borussia Mochengladbach and RB Leipzig have joined Celtic in the race to sign Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster after both sides registering their interest in landing the player this summer.
Celtic must act fast in they’re still considering the youngster, as he’s reportedly out of contract at Anfield and has snubbed two contract offers from the club.
The Hoops are believed to be interested in signing the front man, who was part of the England team which triumphed at the under1- World CUp competition last year and even won the Golden Boot award as the tournament’s top scorer.
According to an earlier report this month from The Scottish Herald, the tabloid claimed Celtic are in advanced talks to sign the youngster and it is “more likely than not” that he will be at the club next season.
There appears to have been a few twists and turns in recent days, and it is time for chief executive Peter Lawwell, who leads the club’s transfer and contract negotiations, to whirr into action and prevent the Bundesliga ambush.
Brewster is lighting quick youngster, who has excellent movement and has already proved himself to be a prolific goalscorer for any team he end up with.
With doubts and concerns still over the futures of strikers Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard, the Glasgow champions are in the market for at least two centre-forwards this summer to replace the duo.
