As reported exclusively by Football Insider, Scottish champions Celtic are weighing up a summer transfer window move for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ryan Manning.
In Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham, Celtic have an elite midfield with both player playing superbly this season. However, Brendan Rodgers is always on the hunt for young talent and in Republic of Ireland U21 international Ryan Manning, may have found his next prospect.
The report from the above outlet claim Celtic have had a long-term interest in the midfielder, whilst citing he has been consistently scouted to check on his availability.
Now, the outlet reckons they’re eyeing a potential summer deal for the QPR man, with English Premier League club Crystal Palace also said to be interested.
Rated at £225,000 by Transfermarkt, he’s well within reach of the Bhoys.
A versatile player who can play in a number of positions across the midfield, he’s also a key performer for the Republic of Ireland U21 side, scoring three times in six appearances.
He is definitely not the finished article as far as the Hoops are concerned but is still young enough to improve and could become a future international.
Under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, who has a track record of developing young talent, he could flourish in new surroundings should the Hoops make their move, providing depth to their midfield if nothing else.
