Celtic’s plans for the summer seem to be right one schedule as the club continues to get linked with some of Europe’s highly promising stars. The Hopps are mere inches away from registering a consecutive treble-winning season under Brendan Rodgers and the Northern Irishman will be intrigued getting his hands on at least one target before the Scottish Cup final against Motherwell.
With all that being said, there might just be a few cheap on the grounds now the Hoops can move in for. Take Stoke City’s Joe Allen for example who is rated at just €18m by Transfermkt.
Stoke have just secured relegation to the Championships and the Wales international is primed to come cheap due to this.
The midfielder was once part of Rodgers set-up in Swansea City, in which he followed up with him right upon his appointment as the Liverpool head-coach. Allen was Rodgers first signing as Liverpool manager as he continued to favour the 28-year-old despite his shortcomings to meet the Anfield standards.
Allen has hit the ground running in the Premier League during his days with Swansea, Liverpool and Stoke City. He helped with Potters to a 13th place finish in his first season. He went on a scoring run of 6 goals in his debut season and was even named in the 40-man shortlist for the UEFA Team Of The Season.
