Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts who’s on loan at Celtic insists he would like a return to the Premier League next season.
He told Sky Sports News:
“I’ve enjoyed my football [with Celtic] and everyone knows that. But you also have to look at the bigger picture and I have certain ambitions in my head and places that I want to be.
“To get there I need to come out of my comfort zone and try to reach those targets, but playing for Celtic has been a dream come true and I’ve enjoyed every minute.”
In others news, it’s has been reported that Premier League side Everton are considering a £20m for Kieran Tierney this summer as they look to strengthen the core of their defence for European participation next season.
But Tierney, who is a reported target for Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth according to The Sun, has not yet been linked with a move to Everton despite his outstanding performance for Celtic.
However, according to Bet Victor, the bookies have installed Everton as the 4/1 favourites to sanction bid for the Celtic’s £20 million-rated homegrown starlet this summer.
Man United and Bournemouth, who are believed to have made the 20-year-old their top target, are placed at 6/1. Tierney, who has been named SPFA Young Player of the Year three times looks like the perfect successor to Baines.
