Premier League clubs Crystal Palace are set to enter a bidding war with Premier League rivals Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion for the signing of Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong.
It’s said Armstrong has just one year left on his current deal with Celtic and is unlikely to sign a new deal with the club.
The 26-year-old is attracting huge interest from the trio Premier League club and recently-relegated West Bromwich Albion, according to the Daily Record.
Armstrong started just 15 Premier League game for Celtic last season due to Callum McGregor’s superb form for the club this past season.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers hinted Armstrong’s Celtic Park future could be in doubt.
“Players are within their rights. If they feel the deal or the offer is not right or just purely if they don’t want to sign.
“But it goes two ways. If it’s not right for both parties then it’s not going to happen.
“It’s hard to have a squad that’s going to be complete and together for a number of years.
“Some are happy to see out their career at Celtic, others think they want to stay, then get a big offer and they go.”
Armstrong in all competition since joining Celtic in 2015 from Dundee United and has scored 27 goals in a total 142 appearances.
