Patrick Roberts looks to be on his way to joining Manchester City as the reigning Premier League champions get set t use the Celtic former fan-favourite as bait to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City this summer.
The 2015–16 Premier League winner were keen on signing the trickey winger in January, but City couldn’t attach Roberts to any deal due to his loan deal with Celtic still having several months to run.
Now, reports claimed Roberts is set to return to Etihad after the summer break with the news being said to be on a permanent basis.
Manchester City refuse to meet with Foxes asking price for the Algerian international believed to be set at £70million.
Roberts spent two and half years at Celtic on-loan where he was impressivw with support of other brilliant players and created some memorable performances and was a huge part of the invincible squad.
However, the midfielder’s impact during his final season at the club didn’t live up to expectative because of injury.
