Chelsea beat Liverpool & Arsenal to agree offer for £30m-rated star, Tottenham to sign first player in 15 months

According to report in media, Tottenham Hotspur has joined their Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton in the race to sign AFC Borunemouth forward Callum Wilson. Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen on bringing in the English forward, who has been impressive throughout the season, to the new White Hart Lane in bids to strengthen up his attack line next season.

Spurs have been without their superstar Harry Kane for a huge amount of game time this season with Fernando Llorente already clocked 34 years. The Club needs to bring in a proper backup with Pochettino being desperate to sign the English forward this summer but will be facing a strong competitions from their London rivals and the two Merseysiders club , who are all keen on signing the striker once the summer transfer window open up.

Wilson, who joined the Cherries from Coventry back in the summer of 2014 in a reported £4m fee, became a pivotal player for the club since joining havign bagged 15 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions.

The England international is currently running on a contract with the Cherries that is set to expire in the summer of 2022, with his release clause set at £20 million. His price tag might see a huge increase in the transfer window.

Chelsea, who have still have a transfer ban, have been reported to be preparing a £40 million bid for Callum Wilson ahead of the transfer window leading the race for his signature.

Tottenham has failed to bring in a new player to the club in 15 months and are currently sitting at the fourth position in the Premier League table, Pochettino is reported to be doing all it takes to sign Wilson to club this summer.

  1. Strange, because and correct me if I’m wrong here but I thought presently there was a transfer embargo on Chelsea signing any new players.
