Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will not be sacked

That will be according to reports from ESPN, which claims that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will not be sacked after succumbing to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Watford at home on Monday night football.

The Blues suffered the home defeat just after dealing with the previous 3-0 loss away to AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday, after that was Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge has been rumored to be on a thin rope, with several reports covering the media about his supposed managerial career with the Blues.

The Premier League champions has been unable to replicate the same form they possessed last year, as they have only been able to win just two matches out of 10 matches in all competitions this 2018, failing to find the back of the net in four of them.

ESPN reported that the club’s board will only take matters into their own hands should the top-four finishes in the Premier League seems shaky. Following the loss to Watford at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has obtained the fourth position in Gameweek 26 – One point behind Liverpool and one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports further states that, Conte has allegedly given his players three days off to rest and get back in form, and the team will not be in training till the training session for them to prepare for West Bromich Albion match next Monday.

With his players backing the manager on the account of struggling to cope with the demands of the Premier League fixtures, with the Blues playing nine times in both December and January. Which has mad an Injury impact on the Blues squad with Andreas Christensen, whop limped out in the match against Bournemouth said to be hamstring Injury, while Ross Barkley seemed to have suffered the similar fate as Christensen, but this in the training session. Alvaro Morata comeback is yet to be known as no time frame was given over the striker.

Speaking at the conference after the Watford defeat, Conte seems not to be in concerns over his future with the Blues:

“I’m not worried about my job, I work every day and I give 120 percent, OK? If this is enough, it’s OK. Otherwise, the club can take a different decision. But I’m not worried.

“It’s very difficult because, every day and every press conference, you ask me if I’m worried. No. I’m not worried. Tomorrow is another day. I can be the Chelsea coach or not. Which is the problem? My soul is clear. I go to sleep without a problem that maybe, maybe, I could do this or that. I try to do everything. If it’s not good, the club can make a different decision. Life goes on.”

So maybe, Antonio Conte plans has not been failing, either ways Conte won’t be sacked just yet by the Chelsea boards.
